Calling all aspiring infectious disease researchers! The Andersen lab at the Scripps Research Institute seeking to hire 1-2 Research Technicians to assist with our diverse projects using high-throughput sequencing and computational approaches to study emerging viruses and the outbreaks they cause, including SARS-CoV-2, Lassa, Ebola, West Nile, and Zika.

This full time position in beautiful La Jolla, California will provide valuable experience in a highly productive and collaborative research lab studying the emergence, spread, transmission, and evolution of infectious diseases. You will participate in expanding our on-going projects by performing bench-level experiments and sequencing of SARS-CoV-2, West Nile, and other virus samples.  

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about infectious disease research, global health and plan to continue their scientific education in graduate school. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques including PCR and is familiar with next-generation sequencing methods.
