2nd Annual CViSB Workshop: February 24-26, 2020 | La Jolla, CA

Annual CViSB Systems Biology of Infectious Diseases Workshop

February 20-22, 2019

Scripps Research

La Jolla, CA

We are pleased to announce the first annual Center for Viral Systems Biology (CViSB) workshop. This workshop will explore the latest trends and advances in the field, including technologies and computational methods utilized by infectious disease researches.

The first iteration of this workshop will focus on viral systems biology and the application of phylogenetic methods of studying viruses – as well as the importance of accurately conveying scientific findings to the public.

Those working on, or wanting to learn more about, genomics and phylogenetic methods to analyze virus evolution should attend this workshop. The leading researchers in phylogenetics, bioinformatics, and science communication will be presenting and providing feedback.

This workshop, directed towards grad students, postdocs and ‘junior’ investigators, will be hands-on and limited in size. Programming/bioinformatics experience is recommended (but not required).
